Lifelong Learning
Our Vision
Limud/Learning. Lifelong learning is an important Jewish value, encouraging continual intellectual and spiritual growth and ultimately helping each of us to grow closer to God and Torah. At Agudas Achim, there are numerous formal and informal learning opportunities to allow a broad range of participation at all ages and levels. We must learn from our Rabbis, our teachers, and from one another.
Yiddish Class Continues
The Yiddish class will be continuing for a spring semester to follow from January through May on a weekly basis. As before, it will be taught by Norman Buder. The payment schedule will continue as it did during the summer – $5.00 per Tuesday night class (18 classes) from 7:00-9:00 p.m. This means the charge would be $90.00 for the semester. People can start at any time and have the charge prorated, but payment will be for the semester from the day started even if you miss subsequent classes. Once someone signs up for the class the full charge is due, although it can be made in two payments. Checks should be made out to the synagogue office. Anyone with knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet can sign up for the class and give it a go.
